How alcohol affects weight loss
The most important negative effect is dehydration. In this case, the cells lose not only the water, but also the minerals and trace elements we need, which play an important role in metabolism and, therefore, in weight loss or increase.
Under the influence of alcohol, a person easily violates prohibitions, eats more than he or she wants, and eats more satisfyingly. As a product, alcohol has no nutritional value, our body will consume calories from it, but all the rest received with it will be set aside.
Alcohol is proven to lower testosterone levels and interfere with digestion, which also leads to weight gain in lieu of desired weight loss.
What kind of alcohol does not interfere with diet
Obviously, sweet liquor is very high in calories and should not be allowed in the diet. Ethyl alcohol itself has 710 kcal per 100 grams, which means that all alcohol is also high in calories.
Foods excluded from the diet include all sweet, semi-sweet and fortified wines, champagne, liqueur, and Cahors. It is better not to consume beer at all during weight loss: despite its low nutritional value, it contains phytoestrogens, slows down metabolism and stimulates the growth of adipose tissue in the body.
Allowed to drink one or two glasses of dry wine, measuring approximately 150-200 ml. Grapes can be red or white, depending on your choice, with a strength of 7-11%.
What alcohol should eat during the diet
If you see weight, choose a snack:
- low-fat cheese;
- grilled or boiled chicken, turkey, beef, beef;
- baked, steamed or boiled vegetables;
- fish (except fried and smoked);
- lemon.
To reduce the overall danger of alcohol exposure, the most important thing is not to abuse it, not to drink too much. Try to abstain from strong and sugary alcoholic beverages.
